Copero Ratings Explained – How OVR, Potential and Career Score Work

A plain-language guide to the numbers

Overall rating (OVR)

Your overall rating starts modestly and grows towards your hidden potential. Growth is fastest in your teens and early twenties, slows through your peak (roughly 26–30), then gently declines in the twilight of your career.

Potential

Every new player has a hidden potential between 70 and 95. Decisions like extra training, playing through pain or managing your fitness can nudge how close you get to it.

Fitness and form

Playing lots of matches, rushing back from injury and taking risks wear you down. A tired player performs below their rating. Protecting your body keeps you closer to your peak — but sometimes the heroics are worth it.

Market value

Value grows with rating, fame, age and performance. Transfers and contract decisions change it directly.

Career score

The final career score rewards appearances, goals, assists, trophies, international caps, peak rating and the rarity of your verdict. It is designed so defenders, goalkeepers and midfielders can earn high scores without striker numbers.

Verdicts

Your verdict is decided by the shape of your whole career — loyalty, movement, peak, trophies and the choices you made. Rarer verdicts are harder to achieve.
